Biography
As both a writer and actor Yvette Parsons is a seasoned titan on the comedy circuit.
Parsons is widely known for the creation of eccentric, absurd, real and outrageous characters. From her award winning solo show Silent Night, to the urban legend that was ‘Regan’ in Exorshit, Yvette has created a vast range of comedy characters for theatre, as well as TV and film. Known best for the loveable busybody receptionist ‘Sheree’ in Educators, cult leader ‘Avalon’ in Wellington Paranormal, hippy nudist ‘Minerva’ in Shortland Street, murderous country music fan ‘Rayleen Hogg’ in The Brokenwood Mysteries, and holiday camp manageress ‘Margaret’ in Nude Tuesday.
