Nick Hall (better known as the Drag Queen Anita Wigl’it) is one of New Zealand’s most popular drag performers. Hall shot to fame as the star of two seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Drag Race : Canada Vs the World S.1, RuPaul’s Drag Race – Down Under S.1) in which he was the first ever contestant to be crowned Miss Congeniality twice. He has also hosted the Warner Brothers Television shows House of Drag, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner and has made several guest appearances on New Zealand television programs (including Have You Been Paying Attention and Brain Busters) earning him a nomination for New Zealand Television Personality of the Year in 2021.
Outside of television Hall is known for delighting audiences with a special brand of outrageous comedy in a variety of cabaret shows including his debut solo show Funny Gurl! which toured internationally and received high acclaim at the Perth, Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
In his home town of Auckland, Hall has been the co-owner of the Drag Cabaret Caluzzi for the past nine years as well as the producer of a variety of drag related shows including the cult-classic Drag Wars and more recently a string of bingo events for dragqueenbingo.co.nz
Aside from drag, Hall is a professional trumpet player being an active member of the Royal New Zealand Navy Band and having regularly worked with the Auckland Philharmonia and more recently combining his two loves of drag and music in Scholes : Concerto for Drag Queen, Trumpet and Orchestra with the Auckland Chamber Orchestra in 2024.
