Biography

Madeleine is an accomplished actor who got her start playing a multitude of characters in award winning plays No2 and Bare.

She has starred in some of New Zealand’s most successful film comedies including SIONES WEDDING and SIONES WEDDING 2, EAGLE VS SHARK and WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, and of course her own feature film THE BREAKER UPPERERS which was picked up by Netflix International.

International film credits include UK western SLOW WEST, and more recently alongside Elijah Wood in deranged comic thriller COME TO DADDY.

She has numerous small screen acting credits including MY LIFE IS MURDER, THE BAD SEED, OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE, TOP OF THE LAKE, Australian comedy DEADLOCH, and cult comedy hit OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH.

She created, wrote, and directed in the aforementioned film THE BREAKER UPPERERS, and her own critically acclaimed TV show SUPER CITY. More recent directing work includes the second season of hit sketch comedy show FUNNY GIRLS, and RAISED BY REFUGEES.

Madeleine is a true creative triple threat, bringing all these expertise to every job she tackles.

Biography

A New Zealand actress, writer and director, Sami launched into TV from theatre with Super City, which she created, wrote, and starred in. She also co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in the 2018 film The Breaker Upperers, in partnership with Jackie van Beek. This film was a New Zealand box office success and won international acclaim. She has also starred in feature films Baby Done, Slow west, as well as What We Do In The Shadows by director Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. Her recent television work includes Double Parked, Raised by Refugees, Golddiggers and Our Flag Means Death.
