Award winning comedian, actor and comedy writer Ashton Brown is a professional, witty, grounded and reliable MC.

Having sold out comedy shows, hosted events at Auckland Museum, The Classic Comedy Bar, Q Theatre and at Armageddon Sci-Fi Convention with an impressive back catalogue of clients including ‘Kiwi Property’, ‘Saint Kentigern College’ and ‘Garage Project’, Ashton has the experience and flexibility for all venues and environments.

He also writes and performs spoken word poetry and is a mental health advocate. The diversity of his performance background allows him to bring endless variety to his MC services. Whether you are after a corporate MC, a comedian or a guest speaker at your event, Ashton brings the perfect combination of humour and professionalism to every event he hosts.

Testimonials

Ashton Brown has been part of our performance host family for 4 years at Auckland Museum. During our large-scale theatrical programmes, Ashton has been instrumental in setting the tone of the event – whether it’s for children or for adults – he always pitches it just right. Armed with a few background theme or character notes, Ashton is comfortable approaching guests, engaging them in the theme and generally making them laugh their butts off. I’d highly recommend Ashton as either a MC, roaming host or performer for any event – he never fails to add the right amount of sparkle.

Jo Brookbanks, Public Programme Content Specialist, Auckland War Memorial Museum

Ashton has been a part of our end of year functions for the last 2 years and we wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again. At both functions he dressed up to be part of our theme; with his charismatic personality and humour he corralled and jollied along our team into activities, herded them to dinner and took part in announcing our annual Love Your Work awards.Ashton was great to work with, was very accommodating and really added an element of fun and humour to the night. I highly recommend his services.

Liesje Bradley, Kiwi Property Ltd.

Ashton Brown has volunteered his time and expertise over the past two years to MC our School Community Fundraiser Quiz. Ashton contributes hugely to the success of the event due to his relaxed and entertaining nature. He has the gift of being able to raise the energy of the group with his amusing one-liners and alternatively has the ability to calm an individual who may be over excited. Ashton has a charming persona with a positive and energetic vibe. He has the skill and competence to make all participants feel involved in the event. Now that we have had the privilege of Ashton’s skills as an MC , we will definitely be requesting that he return next year.

Kim Wilkinson, Deputy Headmaster, Avondale Primary School

Ashton's comic timing and impeccable improvisation skills make him a formidable MC. Ashton has MC'ed many large scale events for us including Auckland Zoo's Christmas at the Zoo, MOTAT's Olde Hallows Eve and Auckland Council's Snow in the Park. Bringing the perfect balance of comedy and organisation to the role, Ashton is our first choice to MC any Auckland event.
