Cohen is a powerhouse performer, professional mischief-maker, and all-around stage wizard. A graduate of NASDA and The Actors’ Program, she has strutted, sung, and sashayed her way through iconic productions like Chicago, Legally Blonde, and Kinky Boots. When she’s not dazzling audiences on stage, she’s keeping them entertained as a seasoned Piano Bar MC, charming crowds up and down the country with her quick wit and killer vocals.
But wait—there’s more! Cohen isn’t just a performer; she’s also the mastermind behind What The Quiz is This?!, a hilariously chaotic quiz night that she has been hosting all over the country for five glorious years. If there’s a room full of people looking for a good time, you can bet Cohen is at the helm, microphone in hand, ready to cause (controlled) mayhem.
In addition to all this, she’s also an in-demand host for events like the Altitude Pole Studio showcases, The Honey Pot Dance Recital, and Love Actually in Concert with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. Whether dazzling audiences with her performances, keeping them in stitches with her quiz antics, or guiding them through unforgettable events, Cohen is a force to be reckoned with in the world of performing arts.
Testimonials
“Nomi was fabulous and we loved having her as an MC. The second the show was over we booked her for our next one. Her stage presence, crowd interaction and overall theatrics was amazing. She was incredibly easy to work with and took our show to the next level”

In 2022, after the long and isolating effects of Covid, our organization wanted to create an event that would bring our members back together socially in a fun and memorable way. We invited Nomi Cohen to host a bingo evening, and what she delivered far exceeded our expectations. Nomi didn’t just host a bingo night—she created an entire experience. She transformed the event into an 80s prom night, complete with a hilarious storyline woven seamlessly throughout the evening. Her charm, quick wit, and effortless humour had everyone in stitches from start to finish. It wasn’t just a performance; it felt like she brought our whole community into the story, making every member feel part of the fun. What made the evening even more impressive was how Nomi incorporated classic 80s songs into the unfolding storyline. The music was not only entertaining but also cleverly tied into the narrative, making the event feel polished, unique, and absolutely unforgettable. Amidst all the laughter and singalongs, we somehow even managed to play bingo—though with so much joy and hilarity in the room, the game almost felt like a bonus! Nomi is not only a brilliant actress but also a fantastic singer, and her ability to engage and delight an audience is truly outstanding. Our members still talk about that evening as one of the most memorable events we have ever held. Without hesitation, we would love to welcome Nomi back again in the future.
